Hello everyone, my name is Yvonne Federouch.  I was born and raised in Strabane, Pa. and attended Salem College in West Virginia for a bachelor's degree in Psychology.  I worked in the mental health field for 21 years.  The last 17years, I was an employee at Washington Communities MH/MR Center.  My last 7 years there, I was the Student Assistant Program Worker and Mental Health Liaison for Avella, McGuffey, Trinity and Washington School Districts working with students k-12.  It was my love of working with these students that motivated me to attend California University of Pa. for my Masters in Education, certification in Elementary and Secondary Guidance Counseling.  Upon graduation from Cal. U. in 2003, I began my tenure at Avella Jr/Sr High School. Also, in the spring of 2011, I completed the necessary training and became a member of Pennsylvania's Community Crisis Response Team.  On October 29, 2012, I began my position as the guidance counselor at Avella's Elementary Center.  I am estatic to be working with the students in grades k-6!  I look forward to meeting and working with all of you!

On a personal note, Ed, my husband, and I reside in Venetia with my son David.  We have 2 dogs, a rottweiler - Costello, a golden retriever - Chloe Marie and 2 cats - Dottie and Willow.  We love to travel and have visited 19 countries and many favorite locations in the U.S.
